What is Biodegradable?
Biodegradable is a term for something that will naturally break down into CO2 and minerals. This decomposition process will take place under the influence of fungi, bacteria and algae. Thus, there is no chemical influence in this in any way. Biodegradation is a process that occurs under different conditions and at different rates. Fruit or vegetable waste will biodegrade within a short period of time. These products are considered easily biodegradable. However, cork, wood and cotton are also biodegradable but this process will take much longer.
